You should apply for an ITIN as soon as you’re ready to file your federal income tax return, since you need to attach the tax return to your application. You can apply for an ITIN any time during the year. If the tax return you attach to Form W-7 is filed after the tax return’s due date, you may owe interest and/or penalties. You should file your current year tax return by the prescribed due date to avoid this.

The only form of communication from the IRS is through mail. It’s essential that your most updated address is listed at the time of filing in order to have a seamless tax experience. The 1040 form is a federal tax form used to report a taxpayer’s income and deductions to determine the amount that is owed or refunded to the taxpayer. ALL Clients are subject to receive a copy of their 1040 form for individual records. The 1040 form will be provided ONCE to all clients. Any additional copy will have a mandatory $25 fee to be electronically sent/printed and will require a 48-hour delivery period.
The tax software used for the tax process generates unique account numbers that include the taxpayer’s social in place of the actual account number to protect sensitive information. Please don’t be alarmed when your banking information does not show on your 1040 documents.

I highly encourage you to communicate with your preparer before taking any action.
